Our Way of Life.
Our way of life at Lismore Optometrist is for you to have the highest standard in professional eyecare and an honest opinion. Spectacles will not be prescribed unless clinically necessary. We do not offer false discounts in an attempt to make a sale. We believe that a thorough eye examination and an honest opinion are not only in the best interest for you and your eye sight but, in the long run, is also less expensive.
We are happy to adjust and realign your frames. Any persistant problems, such as a reoccurring loose screw, should be reported to us. Minor repairs, such as lost screws are done at no charge for our patients.
We urge all of our patients to have at least one spare pair of glasses. If you rely on your glasses to preform your day to day work and general seeing, it is certainly highly reccommended to have a spare pair.

All Staff are either enrolled or completed in studying the NSW Optical Dispensing Course. It is illegal for a non-qualified person to discuss lenses options, make adjustments or repair your glasses.

Faces come in all shapes and sizes and so does our large collection of eyewear. Whether you want value or a designer frame, we have one of the largest frame selections in the area or we can order frames especially for you.
Frame and Lens Consultants:
We are the fashion professionals. Our highly trained Optical Dispensers will assist you with choosing the best frames and lenses to suit your look and your lifestyles optical needs.
Latest in Lens Technology:
Our in-house laboratory means the we guarantee your glasses will be made to the highest standard. We have a stringent quality control system and take pride in everything we dispense.
Our Commitment to You
Frames:
We unconditionally guarantee to repair or replace your frames if they are damaged or broken within 1 or 2 years* from the date of purchase, if due to manufacturer defects. (* Due to different brand policies ).
Lenses:
We unconditionally guarantee the workmanship and quality of our lenses for 1 year from the date of purchase, if due to a manufacturing fault.
Prescription Change:
We will provide replacement lenses with no additional cost to you, if our Optometrist changes your prescription within 3 months from the date of purchase.
Contact Lenses:
If you decide to not continue wearing Contact Lenses, we are able to give you a credit on unopened boxes or non disposable lenses which have been purchased from us in the last 3 months.
Lifetime Servicing:
We are very committed and will provide you with free adjustments, cleaning and servicing for the lifetime of your glasses. Feel free to visit us if you have any concerns, questions or comments.
Privacy and your Records:
Confidentiality is of utmost importance to our Practice. Your records will only ever be available by yourself. These cannot be made available to a third party unless you have requested it. We have a Privacy Policy in place and you may review this should you ask our friendly staff.
Transfering your Records:
If you need access to your records (eg: moving town), please let us know and we will endeavor to provide your patient details for your new optometrist. Patients will need to complete an “Authorisation for Release of Prescription Form”.
Our Terms of Payment
We require a deposit at time of ordering and full payment is required upon collection. We also have a 3 Month Layby System. We except Cash, Cheque, Eftpos, Mastercard, Bankcard, Visa, and Diners Club. We are linked to the HICAPS System and can process over 37 Health Funds on the spot. This is direct billing to the Health Funds for eligble members (click here to see our list)
